It’s not too late to make this summer a STAGES summer!
There’s still time for young people to find joyful opportunities for creative expression, friendship, and fun at STAGES Youth Theater this summer! Whether it’s guided creative play, interactive role-playing adventures, or performing on the big stage for family and friends, our excellent, fun team of Teaching Artists love working with young people, and helping them shine!
Mainstage Production programs are currently listed as sold out, but don’t let that stop you! Families are encouraged to join the waitlist, as we anticipate opening additional spots in early March.
There are still spots open for PlayVenture programs taking place across multiple locations in Portland and South Portland.

ON-CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION:
By the time our summer program begins in 2026, it is possible that construction may begin for a new housing development on our campus (you can read more about that here). This summer’s program (as always) will be our special mix of fun, friendship and creative expression, and will also have some built-in flexibility of space use in our own building, and at off-site locations.
That means that not all STAGES programs are taking place in our Woodfords Corner venue this summer. Families registering for our summer camp programs should take careful note of where programs are taking place. PlayVenture programs are taking place at STAGES, at Mad Horse Theatre Company in South Portland, and at Cheverus High School this summer. Mainstage production camps will have rehearsals in Portland venues, with performances that will be either in Portland or South Portland. This might mean, for example, that you may be dropping your students off at one location for the first week of a 2-week mainstage program, and a different location during the final week/days leading up to the performance weekend. All performance venues are within reasonable driving distance from our Woodfords Corner location, and will be announced by early April!
ACCESSIBILITY:
Please reach out to us before you register for a summer program if your student requires any physical accommodations (in the event that we lose access to our elevator entrance during construction), or if you think your student might find an under-construction environment to be challenging. We would love as much time as possible to work toward a plan that allows for everyone to have a great STAGES experience next summer!
