ABOUT THE SHOW
SUMMARY: Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France and the aftermath of the French Revolution, former convict Jean Valjean’s quest for a new life carries him into the barricades of a student revolution, where he is haunted by the ghosts of his past. Amidst a battle for the soul of Paris, he discovers the true meaning of love and salvation. Epic, grand, and uplifting, Les Misérables is one of the world’s most beloved, and longest running musicals. The School Edition is a slightly abridged, full-length (2-hour) production that preserves the integrity of this musical masterpiece. ?
CONTENT ADVISORY & AGE RESTRICTIONS: LES MISERABLES is a full-length, through-sung (all music, no speaking) musical theater experience. The epic journey of Jean Valjean’s redemption from his past includes several dark turns along the way and the show includes depictions of prison life, poverty, mistreatment of women and children, war, and death. Prop weapons – including non-firing/imitation muskets, and swords will be used in the show.
