SUMMER SHOW REGISTRATION (ages 10+)

SUMMER SHOW REGISTRATION
IS NOW OPEN!

STAGES Youth Theater is pleased to offer 5 summer performance opportunities in 2021 – including 2 musicals, an Audio Play, Shakespeare in the Park, and our beloved (13th annual!) Summer Showcase. These full and half-day camp experiences include energetic rehearsals, conversations with designers, and – most important of all – FUN memories and connections with “STAGES Friends”… Whether a returning student, or new to the program, STAGES offers a safe space for kids to be who they truly are

Before registering for a summer program, please read the following information.
We know it’s a lot – thank you for your patience.
Please contact us with any questions!

Refund Policy – Summer 2021

Please click here to read our most up-to-date refund policy and registration FAQs! Of particular note, all STAGES summer programs are designed to move completely into a virtual classroom in the (hopefully unlikely) event that the pandemic creates another period of lockdown in the summer. Please consider that an in-person program you sign up for may become a virtual program if it is not safe, or permissable, for it to take place at STAGES.

Health & Safety of In-Person Programs – Summer 2021

The health and safety of our students and community remains a top concern as the COVID-19 pandemic wears on. While the end may be in sight, STAGES continues to err on the side of caution in 2021. Building on the success of our COVID-adapted 2020 summer program, we will – at a minimum – be looking at the following modifications this summer:

  • Rigorous cleaning protocols. This includes the protocols that are specific to the work we do (for example, costume fittings, laundering, storage, etc).
  • No in-person audiences. All summer productions will be captured on film, and distributed digitally to the public.
  • Enrollment limits. To keep our community as safe as possible, all STAGES Summer programs will have restrictions on the number of students that may register.
  • Use of outdoor classroom space. As much of the summer program as possible will take place on the lovely grounds surrounding our campus.
  • Use of online classroom space. Musical programs (and maybe other programs) will be supported by instruction taking place in our online classroom – this includes all music instruction, rehearsal, private coaching. Vocal recording will also take place at home.
  • Mask wearing. We reserve the right to require staff and students to wear masks both inside and outside. Do not register for a STAGES program if you or your student is unwilling to wear a mask – potentially at all times.
  • Schedule adjustments. Schedules have changed from previous years. There will be no weekend rehearsals or performances this summer. Please look closely at the dates, times, number of weeks, etc, before registering.

Final STAGES Summer Camp COVID-19 policies and procedures will be determined later this spring, and will reflect the current requirements and guidelines set forth by the Maine CDC and, if relevant, any Portland city orders, at that time. At this time we do not expect there to be date or show title changes. Please do not hesitate to contact us any time.
