SUMMER CAMP – STAGES JUNIOR (ages 7-9)

A STAGES JUNIOR CAMP UPDATE

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, STAGES is working with our Board, staff and community partners to develop new summer protocols, policies and procedures that align with guidelines released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and from the Governor’s phased plan to re-open Maine’s economy.

As we work toward the goal of safely bringing students back to STAGES, we’ve acknowledge that many things still remain unknown. e expect the State of Maine to release additional guidelines/requirements specific to day camp programs on Wednesday, May 20, after which time we will re-assess our current plans and confirm next steps with all registered families.

At this time we can confirm the following STAGES JUNIOR decisions, made now to provide the best possible balance of program quality and (most importantly) the health & safety of our students, staff and community.:

– All on-site summer camp programs for ages 7-9 that were scheduled to take place prior to July 20 have been cancelled (families were notified earlier this month).

– STAGES is committed to running the remaining two camps for ages 7-9 (see below), with modifications required to be in compliance with guidelines from the CDC and State of Maine. Once we receive the Maine guidelines, we will reassess our plans and inform all registered families.

– On site participants ages 7-9 have been capped at no more than 8 students per two-week program.

We will soon post online, and send to registered families, all of the new guidelines and updated camp parameters for the STAGES summer program. STAGES will also be offering additional virtual programming for this age group, and will post those details here (and on our At-Home Adventures page) soon!

We thank you for your patience at this unprecedented time. Please do not hesitate to contact us any time with questions or concerns.

REFUND POLICY (updated May 8, 2020):
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the STAGES summer no-refund policy has been updated to allow full summer camp refunds in the form of account credits that can be used toward future programs, should families decide not to participate in programs for which they’ve already registered. Please contact hello@stagesacademy.com for more information.

“Theater/STAGES was a critical part of my children’s development. Educators talk of the importance of sports and ‘teamwork.’ My non-athletic kids learned that through theater. They both appreciate the importance of expression through the arts….they are better people for it!”

Liz Freeman, STAGES Parent

“Thank you STAGES for helping me make friends. Thank you for helping me come out of my shell. Thank you for providing a safe place for me to explore myself and my art.”

Brooke Papineau, STAGES Alum
