FALL 2020 PROGRAMS – ALL AGES

A note about STAGES Fall Programming…

As we make our way through the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, we are focusing now on new, innovative, SAFE ways of connecting with everyone as the global health crisis continues to unfold. While our programming looks different this fall, our mission remains the same. We are addressing new challenges with creativity and we continue to offer a safe space – in person or online – for enrichment, friendship, and self-discovery during what has been an isolating time for so many young people. FALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

Thank you for considering a Fall Program at STAGES youth Theater! We can’t wait to share new enrichment classes and new types of performance opportunities with our community. Our available programs are listed below – whether you join us online or in person, we hope to see you at STAGES this semester!

FALL PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES (IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL) FOR AGES 9+
This fall we’re making two movies – DRACULA, A VAMPIRE PLAY (an existing dramatic script by Tim Kelly), and FRANK & STINE (a delightful new film noir detective story by our own Nolan Ellsworth & Shannon Wade). For students who prefer a virtual program, we’ll also be recording a chilling audio play version of THE TELL-TALE HEART by Edgar Allan Poe. All three programs will be available for digital viewing during Halloween weekend — a wonderful way to celebrate the most theatrical holiday of the year! UPDATE: almost all Halloween performance opportunites are full. We will be opening registration for new Nov-Dec Programs on September 15 – thank you for your patience!

VIRTUAL PLAYBOX PROGRAMS FOR ALL AGES:
We’re also excited to be expanding our STAGES PlayBox program to include all age groups! New to the PlayBox? You’ll receive an amazing STAGES PlayBox full of supplies and surprises on your doorstep before the program begins. Then, each week you’ll connect in our online classroom with your friends and STAGES teaching artists where we’ll use the PlayBox surprises to go on epic adventures, create new worlds, or learn new skills.

Please note that our virtual program options will require that our students have access to an internet connection and a Zoom-enabled device that can record sound. If internet access is a barrier for participation, please contact us.

“My time at STAGES gave me a sense of belonging, and presented an entry point for something that I found myself so passionate about. These experiences helped to shape my love of the arts and appreciate the impact that the performing, and later visual, arts could have on my life.”
